GUESTROOM DESCRIPTIONS:

3 x Luxury Executive Suites:

Each unit has a private garden entrance and the layout is as follows:

Open plan lounge with a television set, comfortable sitting area with luxury leather couches.

A fitted kitchenette with kettle, microwave, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water.

The bathroom comprises of a separate bathtub and shower and toilet, with inter-leading doors to the bedroom and lounge/ kitchen area.

The bedroom comprises of a King (or Queen) bed with 100% pure cotton linen.

Accommodates maximum 2 adults (and 1 child under 3)

Facilities include: DSTV, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi.

3 x Family Units:

Each unit has a private garden entrance and the layout is as follows:

A spacious unit that opens onto a comfortable sitting/ lounge area with a fitted kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water.

The unit has 2 x Queen Beds with 100% pure cotton linen

The bathroom comprises of a separate bathtub and shower and toilet

Accommodates maximum 5 adults (and 2 children under 10 years)

Facilities include: DSTV, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi.

Standard Unit 1 (4 x Standard Rooms)

This unit has a private garden entrance and the layout is as follows:

Entrance foyer with inter-leading doors to 4 x Standard En-suite Rooms with:

A King or Queen bed with 100% pure cotton linen

A kettle, microwave, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water.

Each bathroom has a shower and/ or bathtub 

Accommodates maximum 2 adults in each room or 8 adults in the entire unit

Facilities include: DSTV, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi.

Standard Unit 2 (3 x Standard Rooms)

This unit has a private garden entrance and the layout is as follows:

Opens onto a comfortable lounge and kitchenette, with a bar fridge, kettle, microwave, crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water.

This unit consists of 3 x Standard En-Suite Rooms with:

A King or Queen bed with 100% pure cotton linen

Each bathroom has a shower and/ or bathtub 

Accommodates maximum 2 adults in each room or 6 – 8 adults in the entire unit

Facilities include: DSTV, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi.

*Traveling from Ulundi:

Head west toward King Zwelithini Street. Travel 300m. Turn left. Travel 900m. Turn left onto King Dinizulu Hway/R66. Travel 19km. Turn right onto R34. Travel 97km. Turn right onto R69. /Travel 3.5km. Turn right to stay on R69. Travel 6.7km. Turn left. Travel 60m. You have arrived!

*Traveling from Pongola:

Head north on Suikerbekkie Avenue toward Weaver Street. Travel 700m. Turn left onto Penquin Avenue. Travel 1.1km. Turn right onto R66. Travel 21km. Turn right onto R69. Travel 97km. Turn right, 60m. You have arrived!

*Traveling from Piet Retief:

BLACK HORSES LODGE GUEST POLICY and/ HOUSE RULES:

 Terms and Conditions of Stay

Office hours of Black Horse Lodge are from 07h30 – 18h00 Monday to Friday; 08h00 – 16h00 Saturdays, and 08h00 – 14h00 on Sundays and/ public holidays, however, the Lodge maybe contacted telephonically until 21h00 daily.

Rates are quoted per guest, single or sharing, including or excluding breakfast, with check in at 14h00 and check out at 11h00. Although guests will be allocated to a specific Room Type, allocation to a named room, within a Room Type is not guaranteed.

Breakfast and or meal preference must be confirmed by the guest on the preceding day the meal will be required.

A reservation is confirmed upon payment of a 50% deposit prior to the given expiry date (maximum 24 - 48 hours after enquiry), and settlement of the balance is due at least 48 hours before check in.

Payment shall be deemed to have been received, when bank clearance is complete.

Only registered, paying guests are permitted on the premises, unless prearranged and authorised by Black Horse Holdings Management

All guests are required to lodge copies of identification at reception upon check in, failing which access may be denied.

The individual who made and paid for the booking must be present upon check-in and/ or for the duration of the booking, unless otherwise stated and prearranged

Reservations are not transferable unless otherwise stated and/ or prearranged

A dedicated guest shall be responsible to accept and return all loan items and to replace and, / or reimburse the cost of, lost and / or damaged items and / or property, prior to check out.

Non-paying guests are not permitted on the premises Black Horse Holdings, unless prearranged and authorised by Management, and a surcharge is due and payable for additional guest/(s) remaining on the premises after 20h00.

A surcharge is due for early check in and / or late checkout, unless prearranged and/ or authorised by Management

All items and services procured from the Black Horse Lodge shall be settled in full prior to check out and / or upon presentation of an invoice.

DEPOSIT, RESCHEDULING AND CANCELATION POLICY

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made 30+ days before check-in date, a 10% forfeit of the minimum deposit fee is applicable.

Cancellations made 10 - 29 days before check-in date, a 50% forfeit of the minimum deposit fee is applicable.

Cancellations made 4 - 10 days before check-in date, a 50% forfeit of the total booking fee is applicable.

Cancellations made 3 days or less, before check-in date, a 100% forfeit of the total booking fee is applicable.

Rescheduling 5 days before your arrival date will carry a10% Administration Fee, which is payable upon rescheduling/ to be added to the balance remaining of the total booking fee and must be settled prior to check in.

Breakage Deposit/ Group Bookings

A refundable breakage deposit of R2000.00 is applicable for group bookings of 6 guests or more, this shall be included in the total booking fee.

Guests will be refunded the full breakage deposit, provided there was no damage, breakage and/ or loss of any property belonging to Black Horses Lodge, at the disposal/ usage of the guests for the duration of their stay, as deemed by Black Horses Lodge Management

The funds shall be transferred via EFT to a dedicated individual’s bank account within 2 to 7 working days from the check-out/ departure date of the guests.

The breakage deposit policy is also fully applicable to young adults (aged 16 – 21) travelling without adult supervision.

ACCOMMODATION OF YOUNG ADULTS

(This policy applies to guests between ages 0 years – 17 years)

Parents and/ or legal guardians of young adults, children and toddlers are solely responsible for the safety and well-being of their children/ wards.

Unaccompanied minors/ children/ young are not allowed on the premises of Black Horses Lodge, unless prearranged and authorised by Black Horses Lodge Management, and written consent is required from the parents and/ or legal guardian, which will include valid identity documentation and contact details.

The parents or legal guardians of young adults/ children/ toddlers are responsible to pay all replacement costs for all damaged and/ or missing property and / or items of Black Horses Lodge.


SECURITY AND KEY SETS

A dedicated Guest shall be responsible for the issued Key Set and may not, under any circumstance, give the Key Set to a third party, not checked into the applicable Guest Room.

A lost or damaged Key Set poses a security risk, and shall incur a replacement fee of R250.00.

Upon exiting and vacating a Guest Room the dedicated Guest is responsible for locking the room door as well as the main entrance door.

GENERAL

Insurance cover for Guests and their personal effects is not provided by Black Horse Lodge and guests are encouraged to ensure adequate cover is in place for all eventualities prior to their arrival.

No smoking is permitted indoors.

Linen and bath towels are allocated to each Guest Room for use in such unit only and are not to be used outside of the booked room/ unit

In consideration of other guests, noise levels shall be kept to a minimum after 20:00 and any authorized non-paying visitor shall leave the premises by 18:00, failing which a surcharge shall apply.

As Black Horses Lodge is located on an operating farm, measures are taken to keep the farm animals within fenced and designated areas, away from guest rooms/ facilities, however, it is advisable for guests to keep the doors to their rooms closed at all times, especially when vacating their booked room/ unit

All personal belongings shall be kept neat and tidy if in public view and shall not be left unsupervised in public areas.

Air conditioning is provided in selected units/ rooms, for the purpose of cooling during the warm summer months and shall not be set below a minimum of 20°c. The windows and doors should be kept closed whilst the air conditioner is running. A temperature setting below 20°c or open windows and door may result in tripping or a freezing and eventual breakdown of the plant. If the AC plant malfunctions due to the negligence of the guest or failure to comply with these rules, the guest shall be responsible for the repair and / replacement costs of the plant.

In order to conserve energy, air conditioners, water, lights and other electrical power consuming items are to be used in moderation and switched off whilst not actively in use. In the event that the air conditioner is not switched off after vacating a room, this shall be done on behalf of the guest, by the staff.

PETS:

Pets are not allowed at Black horses Lodge, unless by prearrangement and authorisation by Black Horses Lodge Management.

A damage deposit/ breakage fee as deemed by Management shall be applied for guests who wish to bring pets, and the terms of stay shall then be provided.
